Boat Race: Police charge man over disruption
A 35-year-old man has been charged over the incident which led to the 158th University Boat Race being halted halfway through.
Trenton Oldfield will appear at Feltham Magistrates' Court on 23 April charged under the Public Order Act for swimming between the boats.
Cambridge went on to win the race with ease after Oxford broke an oar shortly after the restart, with Oxford's woes continuing as bowman Dr Alex Woods collapsed in the boat after they crossed the line.
Julie Massiter reports.
