Channel Four journalist is deported from Bahrain

A team from Channel Four News, led by foreign correspondent Jonathan Miller, is in the process of being deported from Bahrain, after being detained by the police.

The group had been denied media accreditation to report on protests surrounding the Formula One Grand Prix, so had entered the country as tourists.

They were taken to the airport, but were refused permission to get on a British Airways plane as some paperwork was not in order.

Mr Miller told BBC Radio 5 live's Stephen Nolan how they were pursued by riot police officers.
