Detectives 'key culprits' in cash for information claim
Scotland Yard is investigating allegations of corruption against two police officers and a former detective inspector.
The Commons Home Affairs Select Committee, which is looking into the role of private detectives, has heard allegations that a private investigation firm paid up to £20,000 for inside information.
The former detective has denied any wrongdoing; the two serving officers have declined to comment. Mark Easton reports.
