Former Tory minister Ray Mawby revealed as a spy
A former Conservative government minister has been revealed as a spy who sold information to the Czechoslovak authorities during the communist era. Raymond Mawby, who died in 1990, was identified as a spy after papers came to light in the Czech Republic during a BBC investigation.
In 1967 Ray Mawby took part in a BBC discussion in which he highlighted the security threat he believed was posed by legalising homosexuality.
