Patten praises new DG's creative record

The chairman of the BBC Trust has praised the corporation's director-general designate, George Entwistle, as a man with "a terrific record as a creative head of the BBC".

Speaking on The World At One, Lord Patten said that Mr Entwistle, who was the unanimous choice for the job, had a reputation for being "extremely nice but capable of taking tough decisions".
