Dressage: How to make a horse dance

London 2012 has been the most successful Olympics for Great Britain's equestrians, and for the first time ever, the team has won individual dressage medals.

Charlotte Du Jardin secured gold after she impressed the judges with a patriotic routine that included Elgar's Land of Hope and Glory and The Great Escape.

Laura Bechtolsheimer won Bronze with her near perfect freestyle routine, set to music from The Lion King.

Stephen Clarke, President of the Dressage judging panel, spoke to BBC Breakfast about how the riders control their horses and what he looks for when deciding which performance deserves a medal.
