British man and granddaughter drown in Portugal

A British woman is in hospital, while her 66-year-old husband and their five-year-old granddaughter have drowned, after being hit by a large wave off central Portugal.

The girl and her grandparents reportedly became separated by a large wave off Salgado beach, between Nazare and Martinho do Porto.

British journalist Cathy Morris spoke to the BBC from the Algarve about the incident.
