Pistorius blade row: Expert reviews steps versus stride
The South African sprinter Oscar Pistorius took fewer steps than his rival Alan Oliveira in the Paralympic T44 200m final, according to an expert on technology in sport.
Bryce Dyer, an engineering design expert from Bournemouth University, said that this "probably suggested that Pistorius's stride was longer than Oliveira's".
Pistorius has apologised for the timing of comments which suggested the length of Oliveira's blades gave him an unfair advantage when it came to stride.
