Theresa May: Cabinet reshuffle 'looks to the future'

Home Secretary Theresa May has said that the prime minister's cabinet reshuffle aims to "look to the future" and "bring forward the next generation".

Speaking to the BBC's Norman Smith, Mrs May denied that Andrew Lansley's exit as health secretary would change controversial government policies on the NHS.

She also refused to be drawn on any link between Justine Greening's departure as transport secretary and the possibility of a third runway at Heathrow.

"The coalition has made it's position.... very clear", she said.
