Met chief Bernard Hogan-Howe on Prince Harry Vegas trip

The head of the Metropolitan Police has told MPs that he believes there was "nothing inappropriate" in the way Royal protection officers conducted themselves during Prince Harry's Las Vegas trip.

Bernard Hogan-Howe told the Home Affairs Select Committee that the role of Royal protection officers was to ''strike a balance between intrusion and keeping them safe''.

''I've reassured myself that in this case there was nothing inappropriate,'' he said.
