Yvette Cooper pays tribute to murdered PCs

Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has laid flowers in tribute to murdered PCs Fiona Bone and Nicola Hughes.

The unarmed officers from Greater Manchester Police suffered fatal injuries in a gun and grenade attack in Mottram, Tameside, on Tuesday morning. A 29 year old man, Dale Cregan, is being questioned.

Cooper, who is MP for Pontefract and Castleford, urged anyone with information about the "brutal act" to come forward so that "people are punished for what has happened".
