Thousands pay tribute to murdered policewomen

Tributes are being paid to the two policewomen who died in a gun and grenade attack on Tuesday.

Fiona Bone's family described her as "a wonderful daughter, sister, partner and parent."

An online book of condolence has received more than 33,000 signatures.

The Home Secretary Theresa May has described the deaths of Nicola Hughes and Fiona as "pure brutality".

Police have been given an extension until Friday afternoon to question Dale Cregan, 29, who was arrested on suspicion of murder. A second man, 28, is also in custody.
