Birmingham Airport skid plane 'oldest I've flown on'

Birmingham Airport has reopened after an incident involving a plane skidding off the end of the runway earlier on Friday afternoon.

The aircraft was taxiing to the terminal when the incident happened.

Airport officials said the Monarch-chartered flight ZB467, from Nice in France, was being operated by Lithuanian firm Air Aurela.

One of the passengers, Ian Smith, said the plane was "one of the oldest I've ever flown on".
