McLoughlin: 'No easy solutions' for benefit reforms
The Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin had said that there are "no easy solutions" for dealing with reducing the UK's deficit and reforming the welfare system.
Speaking to The World at One from the Conservative Party conference, Mr McLoughlin said: "Let's wait and see what the proposals are that we come forward with...There are no easy answers, there are no easy solutions".
The government is determined to cut a further £10bn from the benefits budget to fight the deficit.
