Train guard jailed for manslaughter after teenager's death
A train guard has been jailed for manslaughter for causing the death of a teenager who fell under a train.
Christopher McGee was handed a five year sentence at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday following 16-year-old Georgia Varley's death at a station in Liverpool in October last year.
Sentencing, the judge said McGee had "displayed an appalling disregard for her safety", as Eleanor Moritz reports.
