Archbishop of Westminster attacks gay marriage plan
The leader of the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales has critised the government's plans for gay marriage calling them a "shambles".
Speaking to the BBC the Archbishop of Westminster Vincent Nichols said, "The project of same sex marriage has been shambolic."
Two weeks ago, the government unveiled plans to allow gay marriage in England and Wales but said no organisation would be forced to carry out services.
