Flooding: 40,000 properties could lose power after heavy rain

Around 40,000 properties near Reading are at risk of losing power because of flooding.

Heavy rain over the last few days has left an electrical distribution centre in the Pingewood area under water.

Pravin Kidam, duty manager of Reading Lake Hotel, in Pingewood, said flood water was just several hundred yards from the premises.
