Henry on 25 years of Comic Relief

Lenny Henry speaks about his involvement in Comic Relief, from the campaign's beginnings in 1988, its work across the UK and in the world's poorest countries, and its 25th anniversary show next month.

It is 25 years since the first Red Nose Day, and in that time the telethon has raised £800m for those in need across the UK and in the world's poorest countries.

Lenny Henry has been involved from the start, doing everything from visiting numerous projects receiving help from Comic Relief to going up against Tom Jones in a sing-off.

He spoke to the BBC's Tim Muffett about the campaign's beginnings in 1988, and its progression since then.
