'We found chicken, lamb and pork' in beef products

The government says the discovery of horsemeat in cottage pies supplied to schools in Lancashire is a "serious and unacceptable breach of trust."

Lancashire County Council says 47 schools are affected. The meals have been withdrawn and head teachers notified.

Frank Hollywood, from Staffordshire Scientific Services who have been carrying out tests on some of the meat, told BBC Radio 5 live Morning Reports that more money should be invested in testing facilities so that they have a better chance of spotting things like horse or counterfeit goods earlier.
