Government rethink right to light planning law

We all like a room with a view, but what happens if a new building crops up next door and blocks the light coming into our homes?

Currently most of us would be protected under an old law known as the right to light.

It means compensation can be paid and sometimes the new building might even be demolished.

But now the government is having a serious rethink about the rules because it has said they can stifle development.
