Border agency ex boss criticised
One of Britain's most senior civil servants, Lin Homer, has been accused by MPs of "catastrophic leadership failure" during the four-and-a-half years she spent in charge of the UK Border Agency.
The Home Affairs Committee expressed concern about the failure to tackle backlogs and trace thousands of immigrants whose cases should have been dealt with.
The Committee also said it had little confidence in Ms Homer's ability to run Revenue and Customs, the department she's headed since last year.
The BBC's home affairs correspondents Danny Shaw reports.
