Whistleblower: Care regulator 'ignored hospital concerns'

A senior figure at a patient care regulator has accused the watchdog of ignoring concerns about some hospitals in England.

Kay Sheldon, who was a non-executive director of the Care Quality Commission, says it passed a number of hospitals as "safe" even though its own inspectors found serious problems.
