Thomson Holidays refuses blind friends flights

Two blind friends said they felt "disgusted" after being refused flights because of safety concerns.

The holiday company Thomson told Lauren Wigglesworth and her friend that they could not fly unless they paid extra to bring someone to help them with tasks related to safety, like putting on a life jacket.

Lauren and her mother Dawn joined Charlie and Louise BBC Breakfast along with Andrew Rose, who is partially-sighted and has done a lot of travelling independently.

Gillian Edwards from the Association of British Travel Agents also took part in the discussion.
