Residents woken by earthquake tremors in north Wales

An earthquake has been reported in the area around Dublin and around parts of north-west Wales.

According to the British Geological Survey, the tremor happened at 04:15 BST and had a magnitude of 3.8.

It's estimated that the epicentre was 55 miles south-east of Dublin in the Irish Sea.

BBC Breakfast's Bill Turnbull and Susanna Reid spoke to Kevin Clark, who lives in Anglesey and was woken up by the tremors.

He said the earthquake caused the chandeliers in his daughter's bedroom to rattle, but that there had been no damage caused.
