Indecent images teacher Geoffrey Bettley cleared to work
The Education Secretary Michael Gove has been urged to explain why a teacher sacked for possessing nearly 200 indecent images of children can in theory return to the classroom.
Geoffrey Bettley, 36, was suspended from a school in West Yorkshire three years ago and accepted a police caution.
But an education panel concluded that he is not a risk to children.
The government said it was looking to revise guidance to stop such a decision in the future.
