Jurors jailed for contempt of court over internet use

Two jurors in separate trials have been jailed for two months for contempt of court after one posted a Facebook comment and the other researched the case on Google.

Kasim Davey, 21, from London, was juror on the trial of a man accused of sex offences when he posted a message on Facebook.

The High Court also heard that Joseph Beard, 29, had told jurors in a fraud trial what he had learned about the case online.
