Ian Tomlinson stepson: 'It's time to move on'

Scotland Yard has issued a formal apology and agreed to pay compensation to the family of Ian Tomlinson, who died after being pushed to the ground by a police officer during the G20 protests in London four years ago.

The officer involved, PC Simon Harwood, was later sacked for gross misconduct.

Mr Tomlinson's stepson Paul King spoke to the BBC's June Kelly about what this apology meant to the family.

Mr King said: "I hope the police take something from this and learn from their mistakes."
