Rachel Manning case: Defendant's DNA 'on weapon'

A restaurant worker accused of strangling a teenager and dumping her body almost 13 years ago also hit her with a car "stop lock" device, a jury has heard.

Rachel Manning, aged 19, went missing after a night out in Milton Keynes in 2000. Her body was found at a golf club two days later.

The prosecution said DNA found on the car security device matched that of Shahidul Ahmed, 41, whose DNA profile was taken when he was arrested for an unrelated matter

Sian Llloyd reports.
