Davidson 'not angry' over sex inquiry
The comedian Jim Davidson has said he is "pleased" that no further action will be taken over allegations that he committed sexual offences in the UK.
The 59-year-old was first arrested in January by detectives from Operation Yewtree, which was set up after the Jimmy Savile scandal - although his arrest was not linked to the late DJ.
He was re-arrested in March after further allegations emerged. Mr Davidson had consistently denied the allegations.
The CPS said it had considered 10 allegations against Mr Davidson but said there was "insufficient evidence for a realistic prospect of conviction in relation to all complaints".
Speaking to reporters, Mr Davidson said he and his defence team "literally helped the police with their inquiries" and praised his fans for believing in his innocence.
