'Online gambling cost me my family'
An insurance broker who became hooked on internet betting sites claims more must be done to recognise the fallout of gambling addictions.
Justyn Larcombe, who had a distinguished career in the army before making the move to finance, spent £750,000 over the course of his addiction - including £17,000 on a single bet.
He also lost his six figure salary job, dream home, wife and family in the process and was forced to sell off treasured heirlooms - such as his son's Christening spoon and a military prize - to pay for his mounting debts.
He told BBC Radio 5 live's Stephen Nolan: "I'd driven my happy, well established, secure financially family to poverty... For every one problem gambler, around them there are shattered lives, broken homes, marriages over and children estranged."
