UK border checks 'scaled back'
Customs checks for drugs, weapons and illicit goods have been scaled back because border staff are under pressure to reduce queues at passport control, according to a National Audit Office report.
Queue times fell in response to pressure over the Olympics, but targets for confiscating counterfeit goods and refusing entry were missed, it added.
