Christopher Jefferies: 'The police could have done more'

Christopher Jefferies says the police "could have done more" to make his innocence public after he was released from police custody in connection with the murder of Joanna Yates in 2010.

Mr Jefferies told the BBC that the police did not do enough to make it clear that he was innocent of the charges and was no longer a suspect in the case.

He called the nine weeks he was out on police bail as the "most difficult period" of his life and would never want to re-live that experience again.
