UK cyber defence unit 'could use former hackers'

Convicted computer hackers could be employed to work in a new UK cyber defence unit, if they pass security vetting.

Lt Col Michael White, who is heading the new team, told BBC Newsnight that recruitment would be focused on "capability development" rather than "personality traits".
