Hacking trial: Andy Coulson Clive Goodman phone call

The jury in the phone-hacking trial has heard a recording of phone conversation between the former News of the World's royal editor Clive Goodman and his then-editor, Andy Coulson.

Goodman was preparing to go to court after he had been charged with phone hacking under the original investigation.

He subsequently pleaded guilty and was jailed in 2007, alongside private investigator Glenn Mulcaire.

In the phone call - made three weeks before Goodman pleaded guilty - Mr Coulson told him it was his "absolute intention" that the News of the World would continue to employ him following the trial.
