Steep rise in winter deaths in England and Wales
There was a big rise in the number of winter deaths last year. It's estimated there were more than 31,000 additional deaths because of the cold weather, up 29% on the previous winter.
The Office for National Statistics shows most of the deaths across England and Wales involved people over the age of 75.
