The papers: Wednesday's front pages

Freelance journalist Samira Shackle and Oliver Wright, Whitehall editor at the Independent, cast their eyes over Wednesday's front pages for the BBC News Channel.

They began by discussing the separate court appearances of celebrities Rolf Harris, Dave Lee Travis and William Roache, which appear on several papers' front pages.

The review then moved on to Chancellor George Osborne's warning that the European Union must cut its welfare bill and back business, reported by the Times, and the Daily Telegraph's coverage of a press conference at which Francois Hollande refused to answer questions about an alleged affair.
