The papers: Wednesday's front pages

Peter Kellner, chairman of the polling organisation YouGov, and political commentator Lance Price joined the BBC News Channel to review the papers.

They began by discussing a story on the front of the Times, which says that Britain is preparing to take in some Syrian refugees, along with another story about Conservative MPs urging ministers to use the proceeds of the economic recovery to fund tax cuts.

The pair then moved on to the Sun, which reported a poll suggesting that - while Labour's plan to restore the 50p top rate of tax has proven popular with voters - people still trust the Conservatives more when it comes to the economy.
