Somerset flood relief Major: This is our home turf

The officer in charge of the Royal Marines working in Somerset has said his detachment are "very much up for" the task of helping out the communities affected by flooding.

Troops from 40 Commando have been filling and distributing sandbags to improve defences on the Somerset Levels, where flood warnings remain in place.

Major Innes Catton told the Today programme that this is an opportunity to pay back the community near to their campus for the support they have received over the years.
