Floods leave Thames Valley commuters stranded

Flooded railways left thousands of passengers facing long delays to their journeys. Bus replacement services were provided by First Great Western but many passengers simply gave up their travel plans.

At Maidenhead station in Berkshire long queues formed as people waited to board buses - some had been waiting for more than two hours.
