UK floods: Shepperton resident Alison Spooner is braving the floods

96-year-old widow, Alison Spooner, has lived in her home in Shepperton, Surrey, for almost 40 years.

Floods surround her house but have not made it inside. She has lifted some items of furniture but does not expect her home to be breached.

She told the BBC she was staying put - with the help of friends and neighbours.
