Charity: MPs must act now on ageing population
Politicians need to act now in order to improve life for older people in the future, a charity has claimed.
A report by Independent Age suggested 50% of people born in 2007 would go on to live to 103.
It also estimated the number of people over 60 would pass 20 million by 2031.
Simon Bottery from Independent Age told BBC Radio 5 live's Morning Reports: "We've got to get the government making decisions and thinking 15-20 years ahead instead of five."
