The papers: Thursday's front pages

James Rampton, features writer at the Independent, joined Kate Devlin, of Glasgow's Herald newspaper, to review the papers for the BBC News Channel.

They began by discussing the debate over Britain's EU membership between Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg and UKIP's Nigel Farage, which the Times features on its front page, before discussing the paper's lead story about the prospect of the UK expelling jobless EU migrants.

They also discussed the Daily Telegraph's lead story, which suggests the "Big Six" power firms could be referred to the Competition and Markets Authority over claims of profiteering, and the Daily Mail's report that Britain is on the verge of a "dangerous housing bubble".
