'I never thought I'd need charity'

Sarah Rae from Gillingham, Dorset, explains why she was forced to turn to food banks.

More than 500 clergy say the government must do more to prevent people going hungry amid a "shocking" increase in food bank use.

The Trussell Trust says it has handed out more than 900,000 food parcels in the last 12 months - more than double the year before.

Sarah Rae from Gillingham, Dorset, told the BBC's Robert Pigott she was forced to turn to food banks after she became so ill she could no longer work.
