Constance Briscoe jailed for 16 months for lying to police

Barrister and part-time judge Constance Briscoe has been jailed for 16 months after being found guilty of intending to pervert the course of justice.

On Thursday, a jury at the Old Bailey found the 56-year-old had lied to police in ex-cabinet minister Chris Huhne's speeding points case.

Briscoe had denied three counts of intending to pervert the course of justice.

Clive Coleman reports.
