The papers: Friday's front pages

Guardian deputy editor Paul Johnson and media commentator Tim Collins joined the BBC News Channel to review Friday's papers.

They began by discussing reports of concerns over plans for HM Revenue and Customs to access funds from people's bank accounts.

The pair then moved on to the Times's front-page lead, which declares the "Great Recession" at an end, and the Independent's story that a committee of MPs has criticised the financial oversight of the government's free schools programme.
