The papers: Friday's front pages

Esquire magazine contributing editor Andy Harrison and broadcaster Lynn Faulds Wood joined the BBC News Channel to review Friday's papers.

They began by discussing the Times's front page, which combines a photograph of the D-Day commemorations with a story headlined "the new battle for Europe" about a row over who should lead the European Commission.

They also look at the front page of the Daily Mail's commemorative D-Day anniversary edition and the Guardian's lead story, detailing comments attributed to the frontrunner for the European Commission leadership, Jean-Claude Juncker.
