UK ban on narcotic leaf khat divides opinion
A UK ban on the narcotic leaf khat comes into force next week, bringing the country in line with the US and most of Europe.
Some community workers say the drug is destroying families and leading to serious mental health issues amongst British Somali ,Yemeni and Ethiopian communities.
But many people who chew khat meet in cafes, and those business owners say their livelihoods will be destroyed.
BBC News went to hear both sides, from members of the Somali community in east London, and a from Kenyan khat farmer.
