Queen and Prince Philip visit gaol and Game of Thrones film set

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh have visited Crumlin Road Gaol in north Belfast.

The Royal couple were accompanied on a tour of C wing by Northern Ireland's First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness, both of whom were held at the former prison during the Troubles.

Later they met cast and production members from the television series Game of Thrones during a tour of the city's Paint Hall Studios.

Nicholas Witchell reports.
