The papers: Thursday's front pages

Political commentator Lance Price and Reuters business correspondent Tom Bergin joined the BBC News Channel to review Thursday's front pages.

They began by discussing the Guardian's report of a judge's criticism of David Cameron for speaking about the conviction of ex-No 10 media chief Andy Coulson before the trial had fully finished.

The pair then moved on to the Financial Times's front page, which says the PM has been left "stranded" by allies in his bid to prevent Jean-Claude Juncker becoming European Commission president, and the Metro's front-page image of a solitary fan watching England's World Cup footballers return to the UK.
