Weather forecast: UK sees hottest day of the year

Parts of the UK have recorded their hottest day of 2014 so far.

The village of Writtle in Essex saw the highest temperature, reaching 27.7C (81.8F) shortly before 15:00 BST.

BBC Weather's Louise Lear looks ahead to see if the warm weather will continue.
